Over 20,000 tickets have
been snapped up in 35 minutes for the Eagles after the concert went on
sale at 8.00am this morning. The Eagles are bringing
their 2006 'Farewell I' tour to Ireland with a concert at Lansdowne Road
on Saturday June 10.

The band - Glenn Frey, Don
Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit - will be performing songs from
their more than 30-year career including such hits as 'Hotel
California,' 'Desperado,' 'Take It To The Limit,' 'Life In the Fast
Lane,' and 'Take It Easy.'
Additionally, the band
will debut two new songs - 'One Day at a Time' as well as 'No More
Cloudy Days.' The new songs are featured on their current #1 DVD,
Farewell I Tour - Live From Melbourne, and is the first time that a song
only available on a DVD has hit the radio Top 10 charts. Farewell I Tour
- Live From Melbourne DVD has been #1 on the video charts for more than
twelve consecutive weeks since its release and has been certified 12
times Platinum by the RIAA.
The Eagles have sold more
than 120 million albums worldwide, earning four #1 U.S. singles and four
Grammy Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, Hotel California, and
Their Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold 28, 16, and 11 million albums
respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
in 1998. The Eagles last toured Ireland in 2001.
