Kings of Leon to play OXEGEN 2008!

Following the exciting news that
early bird weekend camping tickets for OXEGEN 2008 go on
sale on this Friday 30 November (not only at 2007 price but
with a third day of live music free – as OXEGEN becomes three
days), OXEGEN.ie can exclusively reveal that Kings
of Leon are confirmed to play OXEGEN 2008, after you
voted them the band you most want to see in our festival poll.
We asked you for your dream line-up, thousands of you responded
and Kings of Leon topped the survey as
your favourite. Responding to this Kings of Leon were
immediately confirmed.
Tonight Kings Of Leon take to the stage (Tuesday November
27th ) for the first of their two sold out shows at Dublin's RDS.
One of the hottest bands of the moment, OXEGEN fans can
now look forward to a sensational set when they take to the
stage at next year’s festival.
Speaking today Kings Of Leon’s singer, Caleb Followill, said
"We love playing in Ireland, the fans are brilliant and we
can’t wait to play OXEGEN 2008".

You can not only purchase tickets at 2007 prices,
but also receive a FULL day extra completely FREE as OXEGEN
becomes 3 days.
If since July, you've been pining for the next
Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Weekend of the Year or missed out on a
much sought after ticket last year, fear not as preparations for
OXEGEN 2008 are well underway.
Fans will be chuffed to hear that a limited number of
early-bird weekend with camping tickets for next year's festival
are going on sale at 2007 prices from 30th November at 8am.
Tickets are priced at €197.50 (including booking fee) with a
free car park space available for every four tickets booked.
But... there is also an EXCLUSIVE ticket pre-sale
available to registered OXEGEN.IE users where you get to
buy a ticket FIRST. Tickets for registered users go on
sale from midnight, Tuesday 27 November until 7am, Friday 30
November. Tickets are limited to 4 per person. Register
here before 5pm
on Tuesday 27th November to get access to the exclusive
pre-sale.
Not only can you get a ticket at 2007 prices but you
enjoy an extra day completely FREE at OXEGEN 2008,
as the festival will be opening on Friday for the first time
ever with many of the hottest acts kicking the weekend off in
style. New this year, the campsite will open on Thursday and
fans wishing to camp need to purchase a Thursday Camping
ticket in advance for an additional €20. For the
first time ever, fans can choose which campsite they want to set
up camp in for the weekend - Campsite Red or Campsite Blue.
Keen to encourage festival goers to make OXEGEN
as green as possible, we're urging fans to use public transport
when traveling to OXEGEN. Dublin Bus and Marathon Travel
will be providing a range of shuttle services to OXEGEN
and advance tickets will be available to all ticket-holders well
ahead of OXEGEN 2008
Returning to Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co
Kildare from 11th-13th July 2008 (subject to
licence), the lineup for OXEGEN 2008 will be announced in
February 2008, though music lovers can be certain that an
amazing mix of talent from global superstars to Ireland's very
best, will be gracing the stages over the weekend. OXEGEN
2007 was a weekend of outstanding live music and top
entertainment that 80,000 fans will never forget.
